Changing my brakes for the first time on my 2018 gt2, and I'm curious to know what kind of brake pads you guys used. I've never had a car with brembo calipers, so should I buy brembo brake pads, or are there some other options out there? Thanks in advance for your help. It is greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't waste the money on Brembo/OE pads, they are grossly over priced and some folk have issues with them leaving deposits on the disks. I haven't had to do the brakes yet on mine but I've had good luck with EBC and Hawk on my other cars in the past. I'll let the others chime on the various options we have available.

Gotcha. I really appreciate the feedback.

What are you changing the calipers to?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
IMR has great pads
or
I went with the ceramic, they are awesome, much less dust, and they grab way better than stock. Look up the bleeding process. Even though you probably wont crack the system open. It's a great idea to bleed regardless. It pulls the older fluid out that's been super heated and has micro bubbles. I did mine with a hand pump bleeder and it was easy.

I'm still keeping the brembo calipers. Just wanted to know what brand of brakes worked best with those calipers.
I’m still confused, are you changing the brake pads or the brakes themselves?

I used centric pads

Details here..

I am doing GiroDisk magic pads in the front and posi-quites in the rear (girodisk does not make them for rear).

Wish I could give you a review of them, but at the moment I have front pads and rear rotors on the bench in the garage and waiting for everything else to get back in stock!

GiroDisk in front and DFC 5000 for the rear.

If the Power stop street warrior were in stock at the time, that would have been my choice.

for daily drive I use the Hawk HPS 5.0 on the front, and kept the rear stock as I couldn't get hawks for the rear. Worked great. slight bit more dusty but worth it.

I have powerstop z26 front/ back, but the make a chunk noise when switching from reverse to forward (and the other way: they're a bit loose in the caliper). They are better than stock. I have EBC redstuff on stand-by for the next change.
