I've had my new Stinger GT2 AWD for 4 days now, so far I am extremely impressed. This car replaced a 2016 Camaro SS 8-speed auto with mag ride. The car seems very solid and high quality, very refined (especially compared to the Camaro). I have not heard any rattles or sounds that concern me. Unlike others, I think the fake engine sounds via the stereo are OK, they don't bother me and I think they add a little something. This car is a daily driver for me around the Wash DC area, so I deal with LOTS of traffic. I like to drive spiritedly when I get an oppty, but I am certainly not tracking or racing this car. I have seen triple digits already on a few highway jaunts (the car has no issues getting quickly to speeds that will put you directly in jail!). The tech is awesome, the Harmon sound system is very good (The Camaro's Bose system was also very good surprisingly). The drive modes are good, sport mode really wakes this car up making the throttle and shifting patterns much more aggressive and fun. The electronic dampeners don't seem to change much between modes, the mag ride on the Camaro seemed like a better system. I love the looks of the car, the roominess inside, without being a large 4 door boaty sedan. The seats are very comfortable and supportive, plenty of adjustments available. The rear hatch not only looks great, it is very functional.
This leads me to my only real complaints so far....here is the USA...the lack of text message notifications over Bluetooth, and the lack of remote start with cellular access. My Camaro had both of these and I will really miss these features. I will get an after market remote start with cellular access installed, so that will take care of that shortcoming. Question for the Android users: one of the issues with the lack of text message notification over Bluetooth is I do not know when I receive a text message while driving. Yes I know I can use Apple Car play, but that is another conversation. On the iPhone I CANNOT specify how test message audio alerts are sent out like you can on other 3rd party apps (for example Waze can be configured to use Bluetooth or phone speaker). If it were possible to configure the iPhone to send my text alerts out of the phone speaker that would solve my issues. IS THIS POSSIBLE on ANDROID?
Looking forward to many more miles and smiles.
