Firmware download question

Hey everyone! I ordered and received my JB4 in mid September and I just installed it yesterday. No problems at all and the car is running great. When I went to update to the latest firmware I came to the screen that gives the option to update or cancel. I press update and nothing happens. I can cancel it but not update it. Is this because firmware is already up to date? I know all JB4s are shipped with the latest firmware I just don't know when the latest update was released. I can go into my firmware file page and 11.3 is listed there and when I select it it sends me to the update/cancel page and I can't get past that. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Make sure to turn your WiFi on your phone off first. Then update. The JB4 doesn’t come with updated firmware. You have to update to get the newest one. It takes about 3 minutes with your engine off but car electrical system on. I learned this a few weeks ago. When I had similar questions

When you download and flash the most recent firmware, does your phone need to be connected/linked to the JB4? I read somewhere the car needs to be in accessory mode to update the firmware but in that mode I can't connect the phone to the JB4. Sorry i'm a noob when it comes to this.

If you press the on/off button on the car without you foot on the gas (so the car doesn’t then on) you will get to the proper place. One push is not enough. Your JB4 should get connected To your phone then.

What issues are you having? You still can’t download? Try what I suggested in the above post to Buzzrush. Maybe that will clear it up.

If you press the on/off button on the car without you foot on the gas (so the car doesn’t then on) you will get to the proper place. One push is not enough. Your JB4 should get connected To your phone then.

You need to press two times.

Not accessory mode. It needs to be in ignition mode. With your foot off the brake, press the push-to-start button twice.

Connect to the JB4.

Update firmware. Wait for the notification that the firmware has updated and JB4 has rebooted.

Press the push-to-start button again to turn car off.

Done.

Yeah. I’ve been loving Map 2. Definitely appreciated Echo04 fuel wire harness. I picked up the BMS Pedal Tuner as well. Love the throttle feel. Now with intakes, VT snorkels, Borla, and the above, I think I’m set. Enjoy!
