Just resealed my firewall due to leakage under the floorboard but the carpet on the driver passenger is still wet. I took it to the dealer and has been a week since the firewall was resealed. Any idea how long the water is supposed to evaporate or can this be another issue? Drains and seals have been checked and cleared.

I've never heard before of "resealing a firewall". What brought this on? I have heard of water on the floor before, but that was passenger side rear floor. As I recall, the flooding was caused by a leak somewhere in the AC system.

Got into an accident a few years ago and the body shop never sealed it.

But, water from where, from what? How long has this been going on?

Not sure from where but every time it drains or if I get a car wash, the floorboard gets drenched but only the driver pass side. The accident happened in 2019 but just noticed how soaked it was getting a few months ago.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Wow, crap. That long happening, I'd have the carpet peeled and look for rust. Make sure your driver rear door is sealed. Look for ingress. If water is getting in somewhere else and making its way to the back floor, then check along that path. If it was through the firewall that's quite a distance to travel and pool.
