So I have the jb4 with 30% e85 and she pulls hard at a stop but when it comes to roll race particular around 60-70 theres a lot of lag. Do you guys normally use the pedal or just floor it and let the auto do its thing? What's the best rpm for highway pulls?

You should first get into the correct gear to put you at ~4000rpm at least, if you don't do this the time it takes to kick down a gear is going to kill your run. I haven't tried brake boosting in this car to know if it's possible, but ideally this is the best way to race from a roll with a turbo car (basically floor the gas and lightly press the brake to ensure your speed is not increasing, but your engine load is spooling the turbos)

I have mine in sport with traction and stability off. I use the paddle shifters. Drop it down to a gear where boost is already engaged and itll just go! Make sure you shift on time though if not the car wont shift until you do lol. Im on Map3 e30mix also JB4

When you floor it, are you punching all the way to the kickdown switch? I have the same setup as you and when I punch it at those speeds (usually out of pissivity that some soccer mom is riding my bumper), the car takes off like a wet cat, no lag at all.

Do you have a 2019? I ask because on my 18, it will shift at redline even in manual mode.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Yes I have a 2018. So itll shift for you even though your on sport with the pedals?

You can’t brake boost with a Stinger...sadly. I usually keep it around 3500 and punch.

You might be able to if you take out the brake fuse. Might be worth wiring up a switch to that fuse if you race often

Correct, if you're in sport mode and go into manual mode by using a paddle, it will still shift right at or before redline. I found that out during a roll race in Mexico against a Maserati.

Mine (2018) doesn't shift at redline - it bumps off the rev-limiter when in sport drive mode.

Hmmm. Maybe it's speed dependent? I just checked the manual to make sure I wasn't imagining things and it does say it will shift at the redline.

Make sure that you have stability and traction control turned off - See video at the 18:00 minute mark.

Mek I find around 60 is where my stinger likes it on map2 or map3 with the jb4....just mat the gas and you are gone!...never been beat in a roll !:) Wash

It it a little bit faster to manual shift a little bit before redline

Flooring it in top gear at highway speeds isn't the best thing for the engine. Even if you're not playing in Mexico and just passing traffic, it helps to drop to maybe 6th, at least. High torque at low RPM can be pretty stressful on engine internals especially connecting rods. While I'm sure this engine can handle that while stock, 500+lb/ft at 2k RPM, all at once, is something I'd avoid if I could.

Over time, this is how my STI engine died. Don't punch it in high gear if you want your engine to last. Unless you're also at high RPM of course, but you would have to be going pretty fast to do that.
