Finally -- an official introduction

I've been posting on here for quite a few months now, but I never created a post in this thread until now.

I bought a black GT2 on July 27. It stayed in the garage until I got a chance to get it wrapped. I've driven it only a few times so far (1,200 miles), but that should change shortly. It's such a step up from my Genesis Coupe!

Kia and Dollar General are such a natural match.

Nice choice in color! Very unique. Not the Competition Orange? Yours looks darker. Did you wrap inside the hinges area, etc? Because even if you didn't, the black would not look jarring against the orange, I'm imagining.

actually, it is lighter than my hugger orange genesis--must be the lighting of this photo (competition orange and hugger orange are pretty close as far as my eye can tell--but I've never seen them side-by-side). When I was looking at the different orange swatches, I didn't think I'd like any of them because they seemed so much lighter than hugger. I didn't wrap the door jambs -- that's why I got black as the starting point. Black would have been my very last choice if I hadn't planned on wrapping it.

Mid section of hood, the roof, and the hatch are wrapped in black.

Black is the best color if you're going to wrap, as I'm sure you know, unless you can get a color very similar to what you plan to wrap with. I am probably getting a white-based wrap (metallic satin color-shift) so I'm getting a snow-white Stinger.. I *almost* went with an orange, but I'm more of a low-key kind of guy, and the way I drive, I don't need to be screaming "look at me".. lol!
