Finally--a primetime ad

Have any of the rest of you in the U.S. seen a primetime ad for the Stinger? Something shown not during a sports broadcast or special event? I just saw one during tonight's "Bull" episode. Not one I'd seen before, or that I could find on You Tube. I'd just walked into the room and didn't at first realize what I was seeing, but if I remember it right, first a profile shot of the Stinger, with an overlay of several admiring quotes from reviews. Then an aerial shot of a red Stinger on a track--a little too much drifting for my taste, since I'm more attracted to the touring aspect. Percussive background, not music.

Oh, yes, these old chestnuts. But down here, at least on broadcast TV, neither I nor any of my friends has seen a Stinger ad except during the Super Bowl and, possibly, weekend sports. (As one friend said, "Isn't Kia trying to sell this car?") Plenty of this stuff is on You Tube (although not the ad I saw tonight), but those are seen mostly by people who already know about the car and go looking for videos. In other words, by people who are probably already sold on the car. Maybe I'm just missing ads because I don't watch cable/satellite TV.

They should roll out more commercials, and feature some interior shots and side profile of the GT2. Car looks good front to back, but it is that side profile that gets my engine running!

Yep, that's the one, and I totally agree with you about the profile. A stunner from almost any angle, but that profile was the first thing that attracted me--even though most people will only see them from the rear, unless they're parked.
