Hi folks, thought I would ask all the experts here about a few questions I've had.
  • Does your windshield washer fluid receptacle (for refilling) have a plastic filter or is it just the blue cap that flips up? I'm wondering if it had a filter and I lost it.
  • Looking at the plastic aero paneling covering the undercarriage, have you noticed a lip that hangs down? Sorry, I don't have a pic. We have deep snow right now and I'm concerned that the snow may rip it right off. I remember seeing it in the summertime and was wondering why they would put a lip like that.
  • I have a lot of rust-coloured dots on the paint that I believe is rusting brake dust or something similar. Pressure-washing the car doesn't take them off but if I scrub it with my fingernail it does come off eventually. Wondering if there is a scrubber or a chemical you suggest I use to get them off that won't damage the paint?
Thanks!
CC

No, yes, clear safe running compund / or clay bar. Then polish then seal/wax.

Yes there is a shield that hangs down a bit. Noticed it while under the car this weekend.

There once was a thread with this picture asking if it was normal for stingers to have it.
Seemed like most stingers did except for a very few.
Well this is actually my car, and when i recently went back to ark to get an exhaust tested for them, they told me that i was missing a clip and thats why it is hanging out.

There's a few products made for just that - I have no experience with them, but this is one that CT sells.

Thanks for this. I think mine looked different. I’ll try to take another look when it warms up a bit.

So yes thats the shield that hangs down a little bit which is normal. But looking at your photo it looks like you are missing a clip, yours is hanging a little lower than it should be.

I think its a bit of an oversight on KIA's part, I can see people ripping that shield off accidently while reversing over bumpy terrain or snow.
