Does anyone else have this problem? My 2019 GT2 sporadically gets false collision detection alerts at stop lights when I'm a normal distance behind a car. Usually it's just the yellow warning, but I've had a couple of instances where it was the red warning. If so, does anyone know what causes it? Is there any way to fix it?

I guess one positive is that it encourages me to sit further back from the car in front of me.

I rarely get a beep, yellow (don't remember ever getting a red except when a pedestrian walks too close to me). And it has been surmised that surrounding vehicles with their own electronic gadgetry are interfering. Other than annoying, I don't believe that this quirk signifies anything heading south; all is as it should be. :)

I've had the sensors go off a few times when I wasn't near anything that I could see. Maybe the sensors picked up something very small. Sometimes the sensors don't pick up anything when I'm very close to something. Electronics can be quirky. :p

Occasionally. Probably a handful of times in 14 months.

I'm more irritated by the front sensors yelling at me when backing out of a parking space, like my garage.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Just curious, you mean FCA/FCW instead of parking sensors right? Because I had parking sensors magically re-activate when I was kinda close to a vehicle's quarter panel at a stop light (yes I was driving over 12.4 MPH per the manual).

It sometimes occurs for me when I am behind a ford/lincoln/mercury crossover or some bmw vehicles.

It's the other vehicles parking sensors interacting with yours. The sensors emit a pulse and look for reflection, but sometimes it will lineup with transmitted pulse from the car in front. Usually its just a quick beeping before they desynch. It only happens when the vehicle in front has similar parking sensors also.
