...but still likes it.

Unfortunately, neither of the relevant articles from the February 2020 issue appear to be available online, so you'll have to rely on a couple of photos as evidence that I'm not just throwing out a line of BS here.

In his editorial this month, he tells the story about being "that guy" who overcooked things on his last lap at Virginia International Raceway while track testing the Stinger GTS. But to his credit, he shoulders all of the blame. Apparently the Stinger does get a little unsettled when running over the curbing on a turn at 124 mph, but it was OK on the same line on the same curve at 117mph. Minor damage only after sliding into a tire wall.

Later in the issue, they have a little one page feature on the GTS entitled Sincere Flattery, in which they positively compare the Kia to far more expensive German performance sedans. Brief but very favourable.

Hopefully we'll be able to view the electronic version of these two pieces in the near future.

Let’s hope KIA sees this and make the effort to make the Stinger’s suspension tighter for high speed track use. We know they got the guru in-house that can make that happen.

I'm pretty sure that Kia (Biermann, et al.) are not interested in designing the suspension (programming) to run over corner curbs at 124 plus MPH.

The showcase the case on the Nurburgring and lots of people are pressing it, to get to the listed max speed, on highways, raceways and tracks. If folks are wrecking their cars, there will be lawsuits.

But not successful lawsuits, because clearly the car is capable of going fast safely. So, "driver error" will be the reason. "I was going too fast". The Senna cannot ride up an inside corner curb at 144 MPH either. It doesn't mean that the McLaren is faulty somehow.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
