Hey all, I need new front rotors and pads, and rear pads. I was planning on buying aftermarket. I got a quote from AAA which seemed kind of crazy. They wanted $640 labor for this.

More specifically they want $202 labor to replace 2 brake pads.

Am I overblowing this?

Can ignore the parts cost as they said they would accept customer provided parts.

A few months ago, the Kia dealership told me that the previous day they had done a full brakes job on a Stinger for c. $3K. Seems pretty steep to me! That vehicle had in the neighborhood of 40K miles is all. The driver has a heavy foot, to need new rotors that soon. Of course, like wheels, Stinger OEM rotors and pads are not the least expensive, to say the least. I think their biggest profit margin is parts not labor. So, getting reasonably priced aftermarket and having them do the labor seems a better way to go.

I got charged $300 to replace pads and rotors. All 4.

Not including parts I provided.

Those rear brake pads take about 10 mins or less!!! $202 is way too high.

Are you sure they are not also machining the rotors for that price?
