Exhaust comparison vid

Wish they all had a WOT pass rather than just blipping the throttle in idle.
Still helpful though.

It makes me sad how bad our cars sound. Ok maybe bad isn't the right word, but its not all that good, no matter what we do. I test drove a 2021 Mustang GT a couple days ago and its on another planet as far as sound goes. The stock exhaust in normal mode on that car is 10x better than any aftermarket on ours. Wish we had a V8 :(

I don't think it's even about the whole V6 vs V8 thing because my WRX (EJ25) with the SPT-Catback sounded incredible... I think Stingers are just way too restricted... I gave my Stinger to a valet once to pull up and it sounded "okay" on the outside... but on the inside you cant hear a thing... it needs more growl...

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

I don't know the science of it all, but certain things like firing order and exhaust design make a huge difference. Like the difference in sound between a cross-plane and flat-plane crank V8. Or the difference between a WRX with equal and un-equal length headers. From what I understand, making a production V6 sounds good is very difficult due to design constraints. The only good sounding V6s I can think of are the Ford GT, Giulia Quadrifoglio, and maybe the 350/370Z and GT-R, but I think they sound like trumpets haha. V8's just tend to sound the best to me. And V12s

You probably have a better taste than I do for cars and their exhaust notes! I have trouble hearing the difference between the cylinders or how the engine is put together. If the car has a legit exhaust, not some fart can or holes punched in the muffler, I do pick up on it though. I did hear a Stinger in person with an MBRP and it sounded fantastic. I could only imagine how much louder (or better?) a Borla would be. Personally I'm not a fan of straight-piped cars; regardless of whether it's a I-4 or V12 or whatever else in between. :p
