I'm a newbie when it comes to the car modifying world, but I was wondering if anyone has this combo of the Junbl downpipes(midpipes) and Ark Grip catback exhaust? I am thinking of getting this combination, and I wonder if I will get a noticeable performance increase or is it just more for sound?

I also here some users having a metal vibration sound with only the Junbl downpipes. Will that go away when combined with the Ark exhaust? If all of this is purely for sound, then I think I might only get the Ark catback. Thanks guys.

Unless stated otherwise i heard on other threads that the junbl DP will make check engine light and overboost.

Good luck and welcome

Hey and thanks! I thought it only gets rid of the secondary cats which have no sensors. I have read about the overboost issue but I also thought that only replacing the primary downpipe and removing the primary cats will cause that issue?

Removing the secondary cats will not throw any codes or cause overboost issues.

I don't have the exact combo you mentioned but I'm close; I have the Ark paired with SSR dp/mp. I originally only had the Ark and with just it, there was a noticeable increase in power, and after it settled in, it sounded amazing. Adding the SSRs gave me even more power (I had to recalibrate my right foot, because I almost got sideways a few times just driving normally), but it's LOUD now. I hated it at first but I've grown used to it over the last few months.

As for the vibration you mentioned, I had that with just the Ark (usually heard it at take off or when hitting a bump); adding the SSRs seemed to cure it though.

If you're just wanting sound and a little extra HP, go with the Ark. If you want more HP than sound, go with pipes. If you want BOTH, then combine the two.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Check out Kunstwerk evc racing cat back with their secondary cat delete downpipe, very nice quality set up.

I do want more hp, and more sound. The only thing that's making me hesitant is the Junbl midpipe and needing to get rid of the secondary cats. I dont want to void warranty with that. Will they check for this during regular service?

All these threads about exhaust have soooo much conflicting information. Unless you replace all your exhaust pipes and there are 4 sections you won't see any HP gains and those gains will be very minimal and all of this has been proven in other threads with draggy and dyno's

Primary Down Pipe (has Primary Cat) if you replace this you will get CEL, I've only seen one pipe that can prevent the CEL if done correctly.
Secondary Down Pipe (has a secondary cat) I just had the ARK pipe installed 2hp gain maybe but sounds great to me.

I've posted pictures of this in other threads. When figuring out what you want you will need to read all the threads and come up with your own conclusion on what you want. As for sound, everyone's opinion is different in what they hear and like. The only way for you to decide on this is to actually hear in person them or take a risk and install them on your own car. No video or someone's opinion will be better than hearing it with your own ears.
