Excited about my Stinger

I don't know why the battery is in the trunk, but my previous 2012 BMW 528i had the battery in the trunk as well...
I think it's a pretty common thing for European designed cars in order to try and manage a 50/50 weight distribution.

Congrats on the new ride. Welcome to the club. Too much engine under the hood:thumbdown:

My old Volvo S80 had the battery in the boot as well.

Welcome and congratulations!!....any photos of that beauty.

The reason the battery is in the boot is to improve the weight distribution of the car.

new to the forum. Bought my Stinger a month ago and love it already. But why is the Battery in the trunk?
Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your Stinger! What did it replace? You already know why the battery is in the trunk. :)

My daughter's Challenger has the battery in the trunk as well..

welcome and congrats!! the battery in the trunk was an old racers trick. once the car squatted off the line, the weight of the batter, which way back when was super heavy, it would keep the rear planted and help with traction. and, it annoyed the hell out of the little punks who used to drive around and steal batteries out of cars when it was easier to pop open your hood from outside of the car. remember having to weld a battery box in the trunk of my camaro and to have to run a vent tube. ah, the good old days.
