Engine running rich since oil feed pipe recall

I am getting horrible fuel economy since doing the recall for oil feed pipe . Dealer said there ks nothing wrong with car, scanning does not reveal a fault code. But the difference is real, I am getting city 18L/100km, previously I was getting 13L/100 km. Any ideas what could be the issue? Should I take it to a different dealer who didn’t do the recall to look at it?
 
not sure how an oil feed line to the turbo could affect mileage
are you comparing that mileage with the same drives and same driving style? Driving style can make a 40% difference
 
Only thing I can think of that would effect it is maybe a vacuum line didnt get connected properly, the big one is the brake booster.
Are the brakes working properly?

To get to that oil feed tube they had to disconnect a bunch of stuff, including sensors and drain coolant and refill. Who knows if they put everything back together properly… I’m driving same as I have always done, except more trips to gas station

Yes brakes ok.

you'd see a check engine light if they forgot to connect a sensor.
 
The only thing they have to disconnect or remove to do the recall that could cause your issue is the brake booster, but there is also the possibility that another vacuum line could have come lose. A vacuum leak could cause bad fuel economy due to air/fuel mixtures being out of whack. A real time data diagnostic while driving would show out of spec readings, but maybe not enough to trigger a check engine light or code. Im just guessing here......
Are you showing any other signs of rich burning like black smoke on hard acceleration?

Nothing else like poor acceleration or black smoke. I’ll ask dealer if they will do that real time test.
 
how much time and how many tanks are we talking about here?
I guess I’ve filled up 2 tanks sooner than I normally do in terms of km travelled. Like I get 350km instead of 450km per tank.

Are you in an area where they might have switched to winter gas? Any difference in city vs highway miles? How's your tire pressure? 13L/100km is not great to begin with. In 190 fuel ups I've exceeded 13L/100km twice, both in winter.
 
I rarely drive my My23 Stinger GT outside Comfort Mode and it runs at 13L/100km all day suburban driving.

In fact the Accumulated total since I bought it new is 13.1L/100km.

The only time it shoots to 18L/100km is in Sport.

it is better now. It is still bad when first turn car on and engine cold, but when it gets to operating temp, it is ok. Before it was bad even when engine was warmed up. My theory is that there is/was air in the coolant system (they had to re-add coolant as part of the recall so I assume they opened that system) and air bubble messed up the coolant temp sensor, telling ECM that engine was colder than what it actually was. Now maybe the air has worked its way out and that’s why it’s better.
