Engine running key not present BEEEEEP

Anyone know how to adjust or limit the volume of this annoying 5 second BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP? When you leave the car running?


It just seems kind of excessively long and unnecessarily loud. I start up my car a lot of mornings early and its just annoying. I understand the safety and security concern but I may try and hunt down the little tweeter and either muffle it somehow or remove it. Anyone as easily irritated by this? Lol

I'd be surprised if it's a dedicated mechanical buzzer. I think pretty well all notifications are digital sounds played through the audio system.

It's definitely outside the car and sounds like a piezo buzzer type piece of hardware. Its possible it shares the car alarm or horn sound system I suppose

I think you’re probably going to spend more time trying to fix this issue than it actually warrants. Put your KIA headphones on when you start the car.
