Engine making weird noise, rattle, 28k miles GT1, anyone know what this might be? no check engine lights.

Was driving home from gym and I floored my car and then all of a sudden this noise started. Anyone know what this could be? Obviously it doesnt sound good at all.

you've got bolt ons. be looking at all of that first. I've got nothing else to suggest.

Check all the belts first. But it doesn’t sound good. Sounds worse than that.

I hear at least two different sounds. One sounds like an exhaust leak and the other sounds like rod knock. If it is rod knock, I would not drive the car and an engine tear down will be required.

Yeah it doesnt sound good at all and that will need to be towed to the dealer.

What are your mods and how many miles?

Sound, if it were a 4 cycl the broken rod would be slapping much faster. 25% faster
And the width of the top of the engine is bigger as well
But as my wife can attest I'm wrong alot...lol
