Alright guys I’m not sure how to explain it but anytime I accelerate slowly, I can hear from the front of my car a very subtle sound that compares to the sound a small toy motor makes when you wind it up. It is not a whining type of noise but the noise correspond to how much I accelerate. It almost sounds like an electronic motor.

I am unsure if it has always been there and I am noticing it now, or if it is normal. I haven’t had any issues with the car so I am assuming it is fine but I wanted to hear everyone’s comments

Thanks guys!

With the radio off, from the front passenger side area, I hear a faint clicking/tapping sound. The frequency of that tapping/clicking corresponds directly to my rpm. I've just assumed it was the high pressure fuel pump noise. Only have had the car for a few weeks, so not really sure if this a normal characteristic of the car.

Very similar progression but not as high pitched. But I do think it may relate something to it. I’ll follow up with my dealership and see what they know about. Probably nothing though, as per usual.

Should I be worried if that’s the case?
I would get it checked to make sure. The turbos on a stock cat are almost silent. If it’s a bad turbo they can replace it before anything bad happens like it coming apart and getting sucked into the intake.

did this noise issue ever get resolved? I have a new 2020 and am hearing the same. Seems like you can hear the tach spinning as rpms increase

I’m getting a similar noise, did you get your’s checked out?

I have a similar noise coming from the turbo. High pitch whine with only 8k. Did you get yours checked out?
