Hi - I'm looking to add sways to my 2023 GT2. I've read how these are a great first mod. I just got an estimate from a reputable shop and they want to charge me $875 to install both bars.
Is this a reasonable price? Appears their per/hr rate is $195. I'd love to know what everyone has paid to get this done. Thanks for the input, much appreciated!!

$875 is an absolute ripoff, I had my Eibach sways fitted by my dealer & it takes 2 hours max. for a workshop to do front & rear, mine were done in 2018 & cost me AU$220.

$875, if the bars are included, would mean about $250 for install if they are charging MSRP for them. In that case, it's not bad. If it's $875 PLUS the bars -- run, far away, to another shop.

I did both ends myself. The front is literally a 20 minute job. The rear is a bit more complicated, but still took me less than 1.5 hrs and I'm not a mechanic. if they are trying to "go by the book", the manual expects the entire rear subrame to come off to get to the rear bar, which would also explain high labor. This is not necessary, although there is quite a bit of contortionist work to get to the brackets on the driver's side.

Three witnesses. Front, half an hour, rear, one hour.

If they did it for half of that would still be ripping you off. Old pic many mods since then. whatever you do, don't buy white line end links unless you like noise rattle and retightening both all the time. Use Godspeed.PXL_20230529_000031306.webp

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Thanks guys! I figured that price was ridiculous. I'll look for another shop to do the work.

One more thing, a wheel alignment is not needed when upgrading sway bars, correct? I believe that is only needed when doing lowering springs.

Correct. Sway bars have zero effect on wheel alignment.

Thanks!!

Approach your KIA dealer for installation. Eibach sways are actually a mod that KIA provides.

Did mine myself in under 2 hours. It’s helped I had a car lift to use. Rear left wheel is a PITA but doable.

Well I got the sway bars installed yesterday. The Eibach sways totally change the way the car handles. Steering is much sharper and turn in is immediate. Also tested a fast corner and the mid hop unsettled feeling in the back of the car is gone. What a great upgrade! I'm so glad I listened to everyone on the forum who said this is the best mod for the Stinger!!

It really is the best bang for your buck mod for the Stinger. I'm used to mine now but remember how much more planted the car felt cornering after adding them.

Next, pair that with a Mando SDC ECS10, assuming you have the electronic suspension.

You can really dial in the damping characteristics to suit your style/mood

Great stuff, how much did you end up getting them installed for?
You can now take it to another level & add Ultra Racing Chassis Braces, these really firm everything up without compromising the ride comfort, the car feels like it runs on rails & also has eliminated chassis creaks.

Did we install End links or you're running the factory ones? Factory ones are really flexible

It was about $350 for the install which was fine with me. Just using the factory end links. I'll have to check out the UltraRacing braces.

It's fair. Price for mechanic stock links are fine
