Any EBC or Brake related questions please let us know.

EBC Brakes would like to apologise for it’s non supply of front and rear pads for the Stinger of late, some are being airfreighted to the USA in ten days time in Red and Yellow for fast street and some of the Blue NDX trackday pads are also due.

The race pads in RP-1 and RP-X will soon be added to the pad line up for the stinger, due in 45 days.

Thank you

At some point I'll be looking to swap the supposedly overprice POS stock pads with something better, keep us informed of products and pricing in the vendor area and you'll likely get at least one direct sale. ;)

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I tried red EBS pads on my previous car. While stopping power increased from the stock pads, the brake dust was just too much for daily driving. Had to clean the wheels every other day.

That’s what happens with performance pads. My Mustangs front wheels looked black after just a day at the track. But they worked great and never faded.

They are great, IF, you track your car.

I just installed EBC reds on the front. Haven't noticed increased dust, I thought these were advertised as low dust pads??

Howdy and welcome. I like seeing more vendors added to our membership.

I might be interested in your brakes. Hard to get Front and Rear brakes and I’m looking. I am assuming they fit in with the Brembo calipers. Any discount for coming from this forum? Thx

Hey EBC, do your red stuff ever quit squeeling. I got 500 miles on mine with them still intermittently squeeling.. anyone else have this problem.. also large amounts of brake dust yet they were advertised as very low dust.. they might have to go even though the stopping power improved significantly over stock pads

Hey, Sorry to hear you are not overly happy with the pads you are using.
Red is a very durable material and takes a while to bed in but of course a lot depends on rotor conditions and driving style.

If the contact band looks complete outer to inner edges of the rotor face give the pads a bit of a workout with some heavier stops 70 to 20 5/6 times and see if that helps.

Caliper drag can also cause pads to glaze and go dull. If the former pads you removed were worn at different rates inner and outer that would indicate caliper needs a service. Even with some dust you will find that dust from EBC is less damaging to wheels as it contains no ferrous ( steel ) fibre and should clean off much more easily than other pads
Let me know what happens when you’ve tried the above process and we can go from there. Thanks

I'll give em a little more time, putting new rims and tires on this week so I'll debate the amount of dust. Stopping power is great though

Great, keep me posted if you need any more help.

The real answer is no pads are zero dust.

The EBC target is to reduce dust but it can never be eliminated or you have no brake effect either

So it’s a balance

One positive thing is that EBC red and yellow grades have zero steel fibre which causes pitting of wheel finishes and is hard to wash off - so it’s a “ nicer” dust if there is such a thing

After brake in coating is completely gone full bed in of red can take up to 1000 miles of normal urban use but pad life at a typical 25-40,000 makes the patience pay off

In the last 2 years EBC has also made modifications to remove copper and comply with new environmental rules which has caused some changes. Feedback globally is that comparing EBC to others we are “ One of the lowest “ dust pads out there

Of course all this requires bed in to be completed and calipers to be operating efficiently not dragging and causing pad glaze or on the other hand fast wear.
