Hello all,

I just picked up a 2021 Kia Stinger GT2 AWD (7700 miles) from carvana and it is in mostly mint shape other than a few scratches. The issue is some really bad door trim. Do you think the dealer warranty will cover this? Will I run into issues being the second owner of the car?

I recall seeing another thread about this issue. I believe it was covered by warranty but can't remember. You might try searching.

Question about carvana. They drop off the car, do you get to test drive it? If there's issues can you refuse it?

Carvana was an absolute pleasure to use so far. They gave me kbb value for my trade in and I feel like I got a really good deal on the new car. When they arrived I was asked if I would like to test drive it and that if I wasn't happy she would take it back. I opted to test drive it and it felt great. She also mentioned I had 7 days and 400 miles to decide if I want to keep it. During this time I could choose another car if I like. I spent literally 20 minutes total time from the trade in to the paperwork. For those that are curious the only thing that was wrong during the process is that the had it listed as a RWD car and when it arrived it was AWD. This was an upgrade to me personally but worth mentioning. I paid 46,900.00 out the door with Gap added after 3500 was applied from my trade in. I had gone to the KIA dealer and they had a new 2021 gt2 in stock but wanted 62,000 before tax tag etc... This was due to a what was described as a dealer markup because of low stock. I am super happy how it all worked out.

Thanks for clarifying. I'm glad you got an unexpected upgrade. I know they charge more for this feature, but being a rwd fan, I'd consider it a downgrade personally. In fact had to special order last car to get rwd/6mt combo. No LSD in the awd version.

It's happened to a few, you can clean it up but if you don't ceramic coat, or PPF it, it will come back. more than a few have been replaced under warranty as well, but it does depend on the dealer,

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I've been watching my dark chrome door trim since I rubbed the spotting out and applied three coats of wax. It's been several months now and they still look good. I priced replacements (mine were past 36 months / 36K miles) and the set of six (at that time) was $579.19 including sales tax.

It is being covered under warranty, as I just went to dealer today and they are ordering all 6 new pieces and it's covered, they are aware of this issue.
