So yea this is the first car that has had any kind of real performance (Car History: 1992 Saturn, 2001 3000GT, 2005 G35, 2006 Titan)

While I don't have 2k miles yet at some point I'm going to want to buy the JB4 tune change out the plugs and get the intake.

What I don't know a lot about is fuel and the ethanol injection that's available.

93 is available to me at about every gas station. I didn't really pay much attention to other octanes but have noticed recently some newer gas stations have just about anything you can thing of from totally ethanol free to E15 from 88 up to 93 with about 5 stops in between.

I see threads about mixin E85 and 93 and other octanes and octane boosters and having the ethanol injection system etc.

It would be nice to find an Octane for dummies post that explains all this and the differences and why you want one vs the other.

I did look for E85 and found all the Thorton's around me do carry that.

So basically when you crank up the boost with Map 3+ with JB4 you also run the risk of pre-detonation / knock.
Increasing the octane rating with race gas, additives like Boostane, or adding 30% E85 prevents this.
the 30% E-85 is the simplest and most cost effective way to do this if you have it available to you.

The E-85 prevents the knock but makes less power per unit volume so therefore the fuel system needs to deliver fuel at a higher rate. This takes the fuel pump about to its max capacity.

Methanol injection can then serve further reduce knock potential + methanol is essentially fuel and adds more go juice getting around that fuel pump issue mentioned earler.

You can take different paths to get to the same place in the end. There are some plusses and minusses to each of the the routes.

My suggestion would be to Google that. Octane has been dissected far more throughly on other parts of the internet than anyone on here can reply.

There is some Stinger specific octane discussion in the tuning forum.

You will find a ton of information there.

Yes I have been reading and following the JB4 thread but was hard to find the specifics on E85.

The owners manual says to never use E85 " "E85" fuel is an alternative fuel com-prised of 85 percent ethanol and 15percent gasoline, and is manufac-tured exclusively for use in FlexibleFuel Vehicles. “E85” is not compati-ble with your vehicle. Use of “E85”may result in poor engine perform-ance and damage to your vehicle'sengine and fuel system. Kia recom-mends that customers do not usefuel with an ethanol content exceed-ing 15%"

It seems long road trip = 93 or higher
Fun in town 93 mixed with E85 easy way

If I'm understanding correctly however a WMI kit would give me the ethanol without having to mixing however isn't there even more risk of water intrusion in the ethanol if it's not used up right away? Guess that's more of a question to the JB4 people and their WMI kit.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I don't have the JB, but a direct ECU tune. No issues running 87 on freeway road trips, and 93 when planning to use the performance, either just fun in the hills or off to the strip. I use 93 because it's the only "premium" Costco has, by the way.

For using E85 with JB4, I suggest you post your question in that forum. It's where the JB4 users and tech guys hang out, they would be able to answer.

To keep it simple go for the 93 E15 which should give you the most bang for the buck.
