Just double checking, simple question... just installed JB4 and HKS plugs coming soon, do I need the Fuel-It kit or any other mods for that matter to run an E30 mix? Just making sure i don't blow my engine up here

No you don’t.

Thx for the info... though question.. why do you have it? What purpose does it serve to have the kit, other than monitoring the levels if you are only running 30%?

That's really it. Though if you're talking about the CPI kit instead which comes with both the Fuel-It kit and an extra fuel injector, that allows you to run higher E mixes. Stock fueling is typically limited to E30 (though it can vary), but with CPI you can run E45 with just JB4, or even higher if you get an ECU tune catered to it.

Try to calculate your E mix to the slight underside of 30. I found it would crap out on the slightly higher side of E30. And get some intakes and a catback on that thing! ASAP

You dont need it, but It can make things easier. For example on empty you would add anywhere from 4-5 gallons of E and rest 93. Now if you're not on empty, this is a whole new equation. Since you already have E30, on half a tank you'll need to add the correct amount so probably something like 2ish gallons E and rest 93. If you have the app it does most if not all of this for you.

I do!!! check my signature...
Currently trying to find someone here in Vegas to put my plugs in so I can run above Map 1... don't have the equipment to do it myself and I'm getting quoted like $250-300 by shops.. ridiculous...

"Oh you don't need to remove the intake manifold" "Ok.. that doesn't change the price" like what??

I had the same issue, I really recommend that if you take it to a shop you should at least gap them yourself as some do not care that much. The bms tool worked really well for me. Reason I say this is because when I took it to a shop they did it completely wrong and the gaps turned out to be like .20, .23., 24., .18 even.... I just did it myself and honestly I have had 0 issues since and couldn't be happier.

If anything really stress to the shop that the gap is important bc some will assume they know more than you and just not give a f*ck tbh.
