Thank you for sharing this information! We appreciate it!So far the excitement over the Stinger has my local dealer doing markups.... ;(
Sidenote: I got a great deal on my daughters Forte S and Chris Way was awesome. And so far their service team is solid.
They know they're going to lose people with these markups but they've sold over 800 so far - and I'm sure a bunch of them have been marked up anywhere up to $10,000... The strategy is probably working to some extent...They can mark up all they like, those in the know will not buy at that price and walk. If you are making a serious inquiry and ready to buy and they hold firm, keep in mind there are other dealers in the area. When folks do silly things like this, I like to go back there with the car I bought from another dealer so they know they missed out on a deal.

Very good point!Curious, how many Kia dealers are there nationwide across the US? There are like 8 within a 50 mile radius of me...so I'm not sure 800 is really a huge number.

So with a network of nearly 800 dealers....that's about 1 stinger per dealer in a month. I wonder what the projected 1st month sales were....About KMA
"Kia...offers a complete range of vehicles sold through a network of nearly 800 dealers in the U.S..."
That's exactly it. There wasn't much available inventory. And not every Kia dealer got a Stinger...I don't think they had the inventory to move all that many to begin with. If I remember right the highest I ever saw was 1200 something in all of the us. So if they had 1200-1300 in the country and sold 800+ that's 75%. Not bad really..
