So I dropped my 10mm socket under the fuse/wiper liquid area. Used my snake cam and can’t find it. I guess it’s at the bottom. Any danger driving? Stupid me.

I'm like 99% sure I lost a swivel head down there lol. This was a couple thousand miles ago. The fact you dropped a 10mm is expected

What moving engine parts are back and down there? If it can't be grabbed it is safe. Worst case: You'll have a new extraneous noise. :P

Great I don’t feel bad then. At least I got to install the power for the Fuel it sensor lol.

I finally got it guys! Tried again with snake cam and it was hiding at the bottom behind the wires. I used a magnetic hook and extracted the sucka. Phewwww.

On my 1st gen eclipse, the back of the engine buy was a black-hole.
If a socket/small tool falls down back there, then shy of removing the engine and subframe you will never find it.

I did the same when doing plugs for the first time. Never found it. I keep spares for 8/10/14. I have like 5 17s from my Subaru days, etc :)

Edit: bought a locking extension for the next time I do plugs..

If anyone drops a socket and it lands on skid plate, just pound on the bottom of the tray with your fist and the socket will bounce right out. I swear this has worked on 3 vehicles for me so far lol. It's a miracle every time.

Yeah, that worked great on my Subaru. Tried it with the Stinger like 20x, and nothing...
