Driving shoes

Does anyone have a favorite pairs of shoes they wear for driving? Or even a dedicated pair? When I know I'm going to be doing some fun driving, I like to wear a pair of Asics Matflex wrestling shoes. They give a lot of tactile feedback.

On the other side, I'e nearly killed myself wearing workboots trying to heel/toe an 05 Altima SE-R....
