Still under 5 yr warranty for two weeks! I complained to dealer some years back that the driver side mirror was not always opening all the way when I unlock the car. Passenger side works flawless. I leave the setting button for the mirror in the center so it opens and closes with the door lock. At the time the dealer said it would be a big deal and I should live with hitting the button to fully extend it.

Recently I notice the mirror wasn't closing all the way either at times. I could grab it and move it. So I tried again a few weeks back and the dealer said they'd need to remove and replace the full assembly -- not just fix what is there. They quoted me a price just under $1000.00. I said "not warranty?" and was told "no". Does this make sense? Why not part of the 5yr warranty? Really no way to tighten a loose lock screw or something to fix it?

Bumper to bumper covers everything, and it's for five years 60,000 miles. After that, only powertrain is under warranty out to ten years 100K miles

Find a new dealer...they will diagnose what is wrong. Its probably the connector for the mirror inside the door...mine went bad just for the mirror power wire and I did a simple bypass of the wire. My mirror was completely unresponsive on the passenger side due to some minor corrosion in the connector for the mirror module power.

The dealer kept sending me reminder emails about getting the mirror fixed. I called the dealer back about the mirror and now they say they don't know why they said it wouldn't be covered under warranty. I have to bring it back and they have to re-diagnose it. 1752076557552.webp
