Hi all,

Has anyone experienced a door rattle? I've got one kicking in on the front-driver side at around 80-100km/hr on slightly bumpy roads.

I'll mention to the dealer at the 1st service and see what they can find.

Regards.

This is the first time I'm seeing a complaint about this. Hopefully it's only yours! :p But we will see...

Well, I have a ticking squeak sound. While driving, if you place your left hand against the top plastic frame cover where it meets the rubber, you will feel the door jiggling up and down slightly making the noise against the rubber. With a past 2013 RX I had, it was a common issue and resolved by slightly repositioning the door latch such that the door held on more tightly.

Okay, well it seems like we have another minor issue. These are those first model year bugs that some people can't deal with. Let's see where this one goes...

Thanks mate - I'll try and see if this is the problem area next time I get a chance.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Any chance you could post a picture of exactly where you're referring to? I've got a similar issue on mine, and I've gone all over the door panel and side of the dash trying to find anything loose, with no success. I'm also following this "creaking noise driver-side dash area" thread, which seems to describe the problem I'm having a little more closely.

I found the root cause for the ticking. It's a combination of three things and was able to eliminate 80% of it. I had the same issue with my '13 RX which helped me figure this one out.

1. Plastic window trim surround a touch loose
2. Rubber door molding in combination with the moving trim surround
3. Door latch fails to tightly hold the door

I'll create a DIY in the upcoming days.

Here's the DIY.

Door Frame Ticking / Squeaking Elimination

I had a touch of rattle on bumpy winter roads. I found in my case it was seatbelt adjustment. Sliding it a couple of times and leaving it mid position seemed to prevent the rattle.
