I watched this review last night, and of course caught the reference during the test drive. He's right, and has been stating this since his first Stinger review a few years ago - too many people who buy premium vehicles are aholes. I mean, "badge conscious".

Doug's an acquired taste. I skip the supercar reviews [he seems to get the most hits, unfortunately, for the rare/expensive vehicle reviews], I just don't care. And any tech/advances aren't going to see their way into a vehicle I'll own in the next decade. I'll learn about it then. haha

He has a firm grasp on the market, trends, and in general I agree on the engineering priorities (as reflected in the Doug Score) for each vehicle class.

He's more annoying than anything else, but his take on the Stinger was spot on. He bought one brand new for $37k when the car market was extremely soft so he got a hell of a deal and then sold it for a profit years later.

Yea, he said that car was sitting on the dealership's lot for 2 years before he bought it. It's no wonder he got it so cheap. He owned it for just under a year though, selling it for about $1k more than he paid for it.

In my opinion his reviews are only good for getting a good look at the exterior and interior of each car, the driving portion of his reviews are terrible.
