If you follow Doug DeMuro, you know he's had a '12 E63 AMG wagon as his daily.

He mentioned on reddit that he's looking to replace the E63 with a new car. He says he's been looking at used GT2's.

Says a lot about the Stinger - one of the most influential automotive journalists/reviewers is thinking about going from a 520hp once-$110k AMG to this.

If he does buy one, I think it's good news for current owners. He'd certainly make more Stinger videos which would be entertaining to watch. A video on why it was a bargain to buy used could make it more popular and up the resale value.

As someone who's had an Optima SX for over 7 years, patiently waiting to buy a 2-3 year old CPO GT2 for $30k, I'm still hoping for some more depreciation. In the case of the Chevy SS, the depreciation leveled off pretty quickly. Hard to say how much of that can be attributed to new cars no longer being manufactured versus the popularity, supply, and the value it offers.

I’d say in 6 more months you could prob get a 2018 GT2 with 25-30k miles for $30k.

I got my Stinger after I saw his review, there’s another video I saw with him and another YouTuber were he recommended it.

Can you link it? Don't think I caught that.

Got it, thanks. I'm too new to link or I'd add the vid link and the reddit comments.

Here ya go.

Oh, yeah, I saw that one. Was posted somewhere before. So he's a carguru with buckets of cred, I gather, from the comments here.

So this 6 foot 3 guy has good room in the back and his feet look like they go under the front seat.

I've watch more vids....some are saying driver seat sits really low but adjustable.....I'll never be in the back so doesn't bother me much....lol

yeah, I think I when we discussed this earlier, I had said that I have my seat set low and farther back when people aren't in the back, but when I have someone behind me, I have the seat up more as far as height and up more as far as closer to the wheel.

Exactly my feeling. I'm hoping in early 2020 to get an 18 or 19 GT2 certified. Coming from an optima as well. Wish I could bypass my wife's upgrade first but that's life. That or a g80 sport.

Still in Optima....will get gt2 in 4-7 months.....19 gt2 has wireless charging, 360* camera and heated rear seats don't forget

None of those are deal breakers for me but if the 19gt2 is in my price range when the time comes then so be it
