You know that our car make some noises around the doors, specially when the body is flexing.
I found this...I was applying some Produxa coating today and when I apply pressure to any door glass it makes some strange noise. So I decided to apply the coating to all the area where the rubber strip makes contact. (anyway I will look shiny and protect that area).
To my surprise the noise it's gone! Don't know for how long but the noise is created by the friction between the rubber and the body. I did the 4 doors plus the trunk lid...
If you have similar situation try it....

thanks...sorry for the post!

It's a shame that these cars squeak and rattle so much. My wife's 4Runner and Chrysler 200 are older and cost less money than the Stinger and don't make any squeaks or rattles. Hopefully, Kia figures this out with newer model years of the Stinger. I know they can build a quiet car because the 3 Optimas I've owned never made any of the noises my Stinger does.

Shhhh. :lipsaresealed:

Stingers don't rattle or squeak. Just because 65% of people's cars on this forum have rattles, dwops, plinks, bangs, squeaks, flawks, plops, and boinks doesn't mean Stingers make noises they shouldn't. Turn your music up. All is well!:rofl:

No. "65%" of those responding to polls about extraneous noises have cars that make extraneous noises. The same is true about paint issues; c. 65% of those responding to the poll say "yes" to having paint quality issues of some kind resulting in chips, flaking, pin sized holes, discoloration, clear coat bubbles, etc. and etc. and etc. The constant is that any poll query about an issue/flaw in the car, of any kind, results in over 50% of the respondents saying "yes" they have that flaw. It doesn't mean that that percentage of Stingers have the flaw! Come on, realistically if that were true virtually every Stinger you see would exhibit at lease one flaw; most of them that you looked at would have paint failure and most of the people on this forum would be complaining! Instead, very, very few of "us" have anything to complain about.

Nothing to be sorry for. Asking questions and offering suggestions/advice is the top priority of a forum.

Stinger defense brigade out in record time today...many stingers have ticks, rattles, squeaks and clunks as shown in online reviews, forum complaints and my personal experience. My 2019 GT1 has had a steering wheel creak, door ticking, sunroof ticking, sunroof popping, armrest creak, and trunk clunking.

I’ve had to apply grease to door seals, replace my armrest with the alcantara one which still creaks sometimes, add coins to the door striker to create a tighter door seal, take out the airbag cover to apply tape to the metal on metal contact, adjust the bumpers on the trunk hatch and whatever else I can’t remember because this thing is a rattle trap. Quality control not even once.

Nope, none of that is true because a Private First Class of S.D.B. said so. :p

Oof, I hope this doesn't turn out to be my case. I'm only 2k miles in and so far nothing, but I'd be pretty upset if it does start to occur.

I have had many cars in my 22 years of driving and many different makes and models. In none of them do I remember having any blatant squeaks and rattles. I'm really hoping that my most expensive vehicle purchase to date does not become an exception to my rule.

And I refuse to simply turn up the radio to ignore it...

I agree with Nuthadey. Just turn the music up and get a life. All is well.
