Does boost-by-gear go below 0 target boost?

For example, if you're running Map 1 and set it to subtract 5 psi, would it subtract 5 from 4 to a new target of -1psi (below stock)? Or will it stop at 0 and just end up being stock boost all the way through 1st gear?

Bonus question, does it reduce target equally across the boost curve in each map? e.g. if you subtract 1psi, instead of Map2 being 5-4 psi, it will be 4-3psi?

Yes, it will go below target. And it's global for all maps.

Life saver for my RWD when I would put my first gear to 2.5 and 2nd gear to 1. It took awhile to dial in but when it was it launched and dropped my 0-60 time by half a second.

Terry! Is it possible to add firmware with gear 4-8 also? If so we could dial in "boost by gear" in every gear. Sometimes you need to take of at lower gears, some higher at middle gears and go down a bit at higher gears as load will increase and also affect boost. Most engine failures will happen at the higher end gears, we can see that in the GTRs we do, fourth gear and up so even if we have traction we take of some PSI there.

@Terry@BMS is there a recommended boost by gear setting for RWD traction?

I have found decrease of 3.0 works best for me in first gear and 1.0 in second.
Random question I know but do you still have the stinger with the pure turbos? If so how are they holding up. I still have yet to hear anything good about them publicly.
