I had this thought today - do I really need to shift to P after stopping or can I just shut the car off? Obviously this only applies to GT2 trims.

Just shut it off - the car shifts to Park automatically.

I push into N, e brake then P. I’ve found the Stinger still rolls when you just cut the ignition and pull the parking brake.

I rarely use Park (P), unless I am going to sit in the car with it idling. I simply stop and press the On/Off button.

Thanks all! I thought it was strange having to shift to park (which starts the car) after the auto-shutoff when I pull into my garage. I'll just turn it off now.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
i just turn off the car and I'm good to go! usually it turns on the e-brake for me and off when it turn the car back on.

I agree it is silly to start the car once you hit the Park button when the Auto Stop/Start is functioning. I hope KIA corrects this. In my old Volvo, if the car activates the Auto Stop/Start function and you shit to Park, it stays off, if you open the door it completely shuts the car down.
