Hi,

So I did a little project with my daughter's help. We vinyl wrapped the engine cover.

It took some work, it was time consuming and definitely needed an extra set of hands.

I didn't like the red letter on on the engine cover so I vynil wrapped them blue, along with the GDI lettering and the silver lines.

Here is the final product. This is some ideas for others to use.

Got the vinyl wrap for like 6 bucks on ebay.

You will need vinyl wrap of your choice of color, scissors, alcohol, razor, paper, pencil, ruler and heat gun.

You will to trace the letters with paper and pencil. Then cut the letters you traced from the paper. Then trace those letter's into the vinyl wrap. Then cut the vinyl wrap of the the traced letters/shapes. Then place the vinyl letters on the engine cover carefully and use heat gun. Shave the excess vinyl.

Nice! Will there be any issues with the heat under the hood?

So far so good. The vinyl actually loves the heat. It helps it stick better.

Its been on since Saturday. On Sunday I drove to 2 hours to my wife favorite restaurant in Chicago. I have not seen any issues of the vinyl deforming or anything because of the heat.

This vynil is usually very good with heat resistance. As long as is not on metal, it will be fine. I have vynil wrapped engine covers on the past on other cars and never had issues.

Hahahahaha......

You know on this particular case I wish I could take all the credit, but I cant. The wife does get most if not all the credit lol.

Thank You for the kind comments on my little princess.

The engine cover came out great, is helps to have a set of little hands since the vynil is cut in very small pieces.
