Hey everyone, I'm trying to figure out all the differences between a GT package and a GT1 package. I know the GT1 has the bigger infotainment screen but I'm unclear on other differences. Oh, and this is based on an American version of the Stinger. Any help would be appreciated because I wanted a GT1 but there is a brand new 2019 GT in my area for a price that is hard to pass up on.

Thank you for this. I guess my next question, is the GT1 worth the price increase from the GT. Am I missing out by not having the better sound system and the electronic controlled suspension, etc? Bearing in mind, I'm coming from an 02 WRX that has no creature comforts and even with a couple subs and upgraded sound system, I still can't hear my music over the car lol

That depends on your preferences, really. For me it was worth it to move up to the GT1.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Just get the GTS ;-)
That's what I originally wanted. That interior is amazing! But I can't justify to myself the extra $10k for interior and a couple carbon fiber pieces. Maybe if it made an extra 50 or so hp

Better sound system, better suspension, better gauge cluster, ventilated front seats, moonroof.... there is more, but its worth it if you like those things.

I can tell you it feels quicker and it seems more in line with driver input. Plus I am managing better gas mileage too. Remember, it can go full RWD and it has an LSD with the great stereo and the sunroof.

The better gauge cluster is a big hang up for me about the GT. I like info

The infotainment screen being bigger is not anything to me; I've never compared them, and a screen only one inch bigger isn't going to affect anything, imho.

I got the GT1 for two reasons: the Harman Kardon 15 speaker surround sound, and the sunroof. The electronic suspension was not important; it came with the car, as it were. The same goes for the heated seats, and heated steering wheel (both of which am very glad to have, but wasn't shopping them at the time). I wanted no onboard nannies. But I understand that the MY19 now has them as standard.

I thought I wanted a GT until I got in and actually spent time in the GT1..and it promptly ruined me, per se.

I'm going to go check out a regular GT this weekend and see if I can deal with it. The wife says she supports whichever I pick as long as I can live with it for at least 7 years lol

If I remember correctly I don’t think some color options, like ceramic silver with red interior, are available on the GT. Some of the must have features for me like the surround view camera system, and the electronic gear selector are only available on the GT2. The gear selector is not even that important but I think the one in the GT and GT1 look ugly.

We are the opposite.. I have the GT2 and would prefer the GT1/GT gear shifter.. I think the GT2 gear selector is fugly.

This will be my first automatic car in 15 years. I prefer the PRND shifter over the electronic one tho. I agree that the GT2 shifter looks better overall, but I don't like the way the electronic shifters function.

Yes I agree it it a bit difficult to use by in this case for me it is style over function.
