I was going through all the threads and saw interesting numbers. I THINK the deal I got is in line with what you guys are getting for the most part. MSRP on the GT with AWD package was a couple hundred above 42k. I got the car for around 33k and some change pre tax. My total discount was somewhere in the $8,500-9000 range if I recall, which included about 3K cash from Kia. Considering it was a lease, I didn't qualify for ALL of the incentives currently available.

Unfortunately to get this deal I had to settle on black color (I wanted blue but nobody had a blue AWD within a few hundred miles).

Sounds very good to me. More discount than I got, if that makes you feel better. :D I don't think that Black is unfortunate at all. Just going to be more work to keep it impressive looking. But that should be fun stuff anyway. I very much enjoy making my Stinger look glossy.

Ugh so many visible scratches and swirls with black.

How on earth did you get 20% off a brand new car? o_O

Stingers are selling awful is why. Not thousands, but I think a few HUNDRED units last year. So they have no choice but to get rid of cars that are sitting. Kia offset the damage with big rebates/customer cash right now.

While it’s true that they don’t sell well (thanks to CUV craze), Kia sold 13861 Stingers last year and 16806 in 2018 (US figures).

Sales - By Month

You got a similar deal to me. I bought in September. GT AWD.

I have never seen a car get so discounted! It was...weird. I am leasing too and the price is great. My dealership does 2 years of free maintenance, so I feel pretty good about the whole thing.

Hi all: just put a deposit down on a gt1 in panthera metal. Very excited. MSRP was 49k and I got them to take off a little over 6 k in addition to the 4K Kia is offering for 2019 models. Very excited as I’m picking the car up on the 28th!!!

Just an FYI - not 100% sure if it’s regional or national, but the dealers around Chicago are getting an extra $3k “dealer cash” on V6s ($2k on 2.0s), for an effective $7k rebate before any dealer discount. The dealers should be quite motivated.... Once Kia pulls all support for the ‘19s, good luck selling them.

I had gotten a similar lease deal back in October '19.

AWD Black in and out GT - Negotiated to 37.5k before lease incentive, so about $31k before taxes. Didn't qualify for any other rebates as I was coming from a 2000 Toyota Camry which served it's purpose during college and early years of my career :).

Felt comfortable with the price at the time considering a used car was about the same. Probably could have knocked off a bit more as the dealer was willing to move the unit. My dealer was the only one willing to even go under 39k selling price for the GT. At the time, really wanted the Blue or Red exterior, or a red interior, but not many dealers in the area were not receptive to negotiating for the Stinger as they were more focused on churning out the Telluride.

Love the car now and the all black really kills after a good detailing job. Glad I settled for the unit and saved some $$$, since I had to drop another $1k for winter tires.
