Howdy folks,
I'm an old school piston head but know almost nothing about all this new tech. I'm trying to do all I can to keep this Stinger running cool and not cooking like the first one I had that unfortunately was used and had been mistreated. So I bought these ADD W1 V3 "baffled" oil catch cans and here is my experience: Please let me know if I bought the wrong cans: I have 4k miles of hard driving since my twin cans were installed on my 3.3 Liter Stinger. I can see no baffles (and no baffles are pictured on the K8 store) and one can has only a few drops in it and the other one is bone dry. I think I made a big mistake buying these cans which are totally empty, have no filters or baffles that I can see and don't seem to do anything. Does anyone else have these and what is your experience?
Thanks in Advance!

How many miles since you installed them?
The passenger side gets more than the drivers side as its closer to the PCV and further along in the intake.
The baffles are inside the tops of the cans..its just a diffuser to turn the oil vapors back into liquid.
If you drive short trips and the engine doesnt get hot more vapor will collect than if you take long drives.
Google the principles behind catch cans and it explains it more.

Thank you, Kodiak.
I do see in the baffles in the top of the can now and I have an understanding of how Catch Cans work. However I'm surprised that in 4,000 miles the one can closest to the cabin (as you indicated) is the one that had it only collected about 2 cc's or about 1/8 teaspoon. I did have it professionally installed so I believe was installed correctly. It occurs to me that these cans are not preventing as much oil from re-entering the engine that ones that have filters in addition to a baffle and I shoud upgrade.

Thanks agian for your help!

This time of year you wont see as much oil/condensation in the cans, especially if you do long trips.
Seasonal changes where you see larger temp differences will increase the amount.
Have confidence in the ADD catch cans they are quality...I dont think any other design is superior.
Im sure you would see the same result...I wouldnt really consider any other Catch can an upgrade on the ADD version

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
