Fitted the Denso plugs and JB4 with fuel control this week. I can confirm that there's no need to take the inlet manifold off as long as you have socket uni joints. Performance difference is huge! Running map 2 at the moment with cat back and downpipes. Intake will go on in a few weeks and I will get some times on the Dragy once I get some logs sent to Terry for analysis. Hoping to hit the strip after that as traction on the street is not happening.

Nice! What Cat back and down pipes are you running Matt?

Hi Matt77

I'm running Map5 with fuelwires and about e30 blend and my wheels barely even spin up. Its seems strange that I'm not getting it to kick out and spin up more. Would be great if you could send me one of your logs for comparison if you don't mind.

Thanks

D C ive been reading your posts about not spinning the tires and such....This is such a long distance reach but....lol I think you have a problem...Ive got the jb4 fuel wires and K%N filter is all on my gt2 and im telling ya Map2 will light em up and Map3 will roast my tires....the weather in which ive tested is from 80 f down to 45f ...of course the cooler weather is making the roads slicker and giving me more hp...but if you cant light em up on map2 or 3 something is wrong...if you are awd Map3 should still do it
my car will jump sideways on map 3 with just a little goosing on the throttle....if it were me I would take it to a dyno and make a pull or two... theres your proof :) Wash

Thanks wash appreciate your comments, I thought I would buy a dragy and see what times I can pull.

I do feel as though something is not right here, but I wonder what the problem might be ?

Thanks again

DC what hex you running? go grab Terry's latest firmware that he just uploaded and be sure and input fuel bias....he does have a new fuel bias ,but i would just reload the old one at the first page again.
give it a go with the new firmware keep me in the loop :) Wash

I’m running the latest v6 firmware with the updated fuel bias. The car is quick but I believe it should be a lot looser on the traction side of things !!

DC its 6_4 okay good ! and the new bias good........concrete or asphalt gives me outta control giggles on map3...and map2 aint too far behind....ive got a 408 or 402 I forget...lol... stroker in my z06.. with which to compare ...im old and beat up now...and the lil Stinger seems to be almost as fast without the drama and the noise of the z06....Map3 has gotta lay you back in the seat...and I just cant imagine you hooking up that good on street tires...Hell, no one else is able to hook em up....so what im trying to say, is You gotta know in your heart, and your buttmeter whether something is right or not?. If you think its not right then its prolly not....:) Wash

DC Why dont you take the jb4 out of the loop....start with map0...and thats your stock tune...and the buttmeter sez? Go up to map1 ect ect and I would just stop at map3 if it were me...try map4 and see what a dog it becomes?...if map 3 doesnt just lay you back and lose traction then theres no need in going to map 5 until you get it sorted out....I have used map5 only twice just to see what it does...Holy crap it just flippin hauls azz...I dont even use it..Map 3 is my daily driver....I say that and its funny to me....3 months owned and just passed 1100 miles ....lol......then theres the dyno....theres your true answer as to whats going on

I've just uploaded a log to N54Tech if you want to have a look. Had traction control on though so might not look the same in first gear.

either get to a dyno or go to the drag strip and see how your car is running. That's the best way to see if there is any issues, there seems to be plenty of options around Melbourne.

okay heres an update......took the car out for a spin temp 52 degrees....running on concrete prolly close to air temp...iat 60 degrees map3.....no slippage hardly from a slight roll at maybe 2 mph...just boom bye bye hooked great...so there ya go....I would have bet for a roasting of the tires...but nope just hooked up and gone...did it twice

Great news wash, I was starting to do my own head in thinking that there is something wrong with my car as it seems to be the only car not spinning it up. ordering a dragy tonight to sort this out o_Oo_O
