If they keep this up, Kia is going to have a couple NA SUVs and a minivan in their lineup. The demand for their top tier vehicles isn't particularly high, and will only get worse the more they screw with potential buyers.

1st time I've seen an EV6. Not a fan.

Mumble mumble Kia dealers are bottom of the barrel mumble...

I saw one today and yesterday. very strange and futuristic-looking car. they're trying too hard

Our opinions aside, it's a competitive EV on paper and reviewer reaction has been all positive thus far (similar to the Stinger back in 2018-19). Kia has learned nothing from the struggling Stinger sales it would seem.

I’ve never been a fan of Jalopnik writers but that was a decent article where research was actually done.

The majority of the issues seem to be centralized in California with the dealers there. I’ll pass judgement until further down the year to see how the market shakes out with the continuing chip shortage and frankly insane car market.

I think the EV6 is attractive but I kinda like the styling better on the Hyundai counterpart. I can’t fully get behind an electric vehicle due to not much of a public charging network in my area. Not to mention, and I’m not “green” by any means, if vehicles are being charged on the normal grid and not by renewable energy, I kinda think of that as robbing Peter to pay Paul.

I can't see my self going full EV. I might go hybrid.

I see one in person the other day. I thought it was super dope. Need to see what the GT model is all about.

I've been to two dealerships in Virginia while looking at the Stinger- and I've noticed the same thing about the EV6 as mentioned above. You can't get a test drive and the EV6's had an 8k and 10k "market adjustment". SMH. I suppose when people are willing to pay a 10k market adjustment on the Telluride, might as well see what you can get on the EV6.

These greedy dealer stories drive me nuts. WTF is up with them? Before Covid you could get any car under MSRP save for the first year of a special car like the new Vette or something. It kills me that they think even MSRP is not enough now. I get the supply and demand thing, but eventually things will return to normal and customers will remember those f'ing dealers! What's worse is the manufacturers do nothing about it. Just giving their brands a bad name.
