After reading the guide book for our car, my wife noted that our car should have had a 6000 mile service. It was overdue since we bought our car in January. At six months with only 4000 miles on the odometer I felt it prudent to get the oil changed with my favorite independent mechanic. So when I showed up at Kirby Kia in Ventura last week for an appointment, and shared with the service writer that the oil change was done earlier and all I needed were the various inspections, he told me to go home since the oil change was about all that was needed. This was the first time anything like this has ever happened.

"Go home! Go home!"

Find another service center? It isn't just an oil change if they're doing their job.

Tells you that you should go somewhere else then and never go back. There is no requirement to stick with any particular Kia service department.

Tell them to close their dealership.

The only other things to do are general inspections - tire pressure, brake pad wear, knock leaves out of the air filter, etc etc. Your mechanic should have done all of that.
None of those are billable. The dealership gets paid for the oil change, not that other stuff, so they're not going to just do that part.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I have not been, I was going to buy my car from them though.
