Morning. For those that had their Ark downpipes installed by there dealer was wondering what the cost was. I asked my local dealer about installing my downpipes as well as my Eibach Front and Rear Sway bars and they want to charge me $1350CDN+tx. Honestly I almost shit my shorts.:poop:

LOL is their shop rate $450/hour? That's like 3 hours of work there so that prices is outrageous.

Dealer rates are typically between $100 to $150/hour so you might want to ask them to breakdown that cost for you.

Shop around.... Front and rear sway bars are not that hard for a shop

Check this out. Kia Canada has the Eibach sways and springs listed online as official accessories for the Stinger.

Pricing is $750 for the sway bars and another $168 for installation. This was for my local dealer but you can pick yours and get a quote.

If they'll do it for $168 that's not bad. I'd just get a muffler shop to install the Ark pipes. It'll be way cheaper.

I asked for the break down. Said they mis quoted me and came back at 3.5hr labour for each task. So 7hrs @ $130hr. Did call Local Midas and they said 1hr labour for down pipes, which I honestly think only takes about half that once it's up on the Jack. What are we talking, 12 bolts to take off and put back on

3.5 hours for sway bars isn't right. Show them the quote on the Accessories website online.

I sent my Service Rep a response saying I would be willing to pay for a total of 2.5hrs(1.5 sway bars, 1 hr pipes). Sent him the picture. Just waiting on response. Called another dealer and they said $230. Didn't mention the Accessories website yet.

3.5-4 hours for all three things would be the correct answer ;) IIRC it took just under 2 hours to get both my bars done, and he was taking his time

$230 is a good price for everything. If it's close to you, maybe just go there?

For everyday driving do you set to soft or firm setting?

I don't have Sways but have had them on other cars. Always went with soft. Firm is overkill for a daily driver.

My understanding is that the front sway bar takes about 10 minutes to install, the rear right side of the sway bar takes about 5 minutes to install, and the rear left side of the sway bar takes about 2.5 hours to install.....

I just replaced my front sway bar with the Eibach the other day, did it in my driveway. Start to finish (getting tools together, jacking up front end, removing wheels, unbolting old swap bar/links, transferring links to new bar, re-installing new bar, putting wheels back on, lowering car to the ground and cleaning up/putting away tools) took about 1.5 hours. I was in no rush either.
The most time consuming part seemed to be getting the links off the old bar because I had to do it by hand with a 17mm box wrench and allen wrench to hold the bolt part to keep it from spinning. Would have been faster if I had a 17mm in my Gear wrench set, but wouldn't you know it, it skipped 17mm, I have 16mm and 18mm, but no 17mm.
Next task is to do the rear.
