My GT2 AWD, Ceramic Silver/Red Nappa has just crossed the 20,000 mile mark.

A few small warranty issues, 1 ongoing annoyance and regular maintenance.

I've been to 3 separate dealerships in search of a positive dealership experience and have come to the realization that this just doesn't exist in the Kia network, at least not in the NE DFW Metroplex.

My ownership history prior to my Stinger was Acura TL, Acura TLX, Infiniti Q60. Anytime I needed something as simple as an oil change, my local dealers would offer a loaner vehicle. With Kia, they diagnose, order parts (as they never have them), I wait 4 weeks, I get a call that parts are in, they "squeeze" me in a week later, then I sit in their waiting room.

I've spoken with Kia's Stinger VIP line and each time, they direct me to a different dealership. After my last experience getting rotors/pads on all 4 corners to correct the ongoing vibration issue (the job I waited 4 weeks for parts on!), I'm feeling that my time with Kia and my Stinger is coming to an end.

I've started shopping and had 2 dealers appraise my trade and got numbers that were better than what I expected.

So, for anyone who's recently traded, what sort of values are you seeing?

Hello ProsperDad,

i have a 2018 stinger 2.0T. love the car but wanted a GT. the dealer did not have any in stock and i didn't want to wait until they found one......(was driving a 2010 nissan sentra and got the bug as soon as i test drove the car). i have had the car for a little over a year and went back to check out a 2019 GTS they had on the lot.....dealer experience was great up to that point...they did tell me when i purchased the car, they did not do "loaners" which i was cool with....

amyway, they were discounting the GTS a lot ( down to $38K on internet from MSRP of 48K). when they went to do the financing, they were trying to get me a loan for 52K!!!!!!!!. understand i was probably a little upside down on my current Stinger but NOT THAT MUCH!!! also the dealer disclosed after i test drove the car, that the front axle/passenger side rim had been damaged and had to be replaced......anyway, i walked away with a sour taste in my mouth and have decide to give it another year and then pursue another GT......albeit, at another dealer......

I had a 2018 Stinger GT2 in the same Ceramic Silver and Red Nappa Leather. I traded it in after 15 months and only got $36k.

How many miles on it and what did you trade for?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
The new TLX Type S looks promising but the top trims aren’t due to release until spring 2021.

The 20 aspec is a very uneventful experience. Small brakes, and bland

Traded my 2019 GTS AWD and got $34 after paying $39 new. Had 8000 miles, but found a new Mustang GT350 with a big discount and had to go for it. The GTS was a fantastic auto and I still recommend it all the time, but GT350 was too good of a deal to pass up. Now to figuree out what I am going to do with the spare tires and wheels.

I’d say you did pretty well on that resale for what you paid. As a lifelong mustang guy, that gt350 engine is glorious when it’s not having any issues aha. What kind of spare wheels/tires do you have to sell?

The five spoke shown in my avitar with new 245/35R19 Michelin AS 3+. Got the set up for cold weather driving. Will take anything reasonable as I have way too much stuff in the garage already.
