With all the electronics and cameras on the car, it would be great if Kia or someone else could design an app (maybe part of the Kia UVO system, Android Auto, etc) that could integrate with the car's cameras and allow an external USB drive/memory card to be connected to record the cameras around the car.
I realize that people will have issues, like maybe it is not 4k, etc. But I think it would be nice.
Having 2 dash cams in other cars already, I would much prefer to use the integrated cameras, sensors, etc. Having the system use the avoidance sensors to determine when the Stinger is about to be back into in the parking garage, etc. and automatically record it.
I believe Tesla is doing something like that where they use the driving cameras to assist with security. I would gladly pay Kia $300+ to enable this. Heck, I might even be willing to pay additional to upgrade the cameras and maybe do Bluetooth downloads to my phone when in range.
Just a thought....
