I Want to liven up my 3.3TT a bit over the stock system. Louder, but not REALLY loud, and definitely no drone. So far, the MBRP seems best for me but haven't heard many speak about the drone with MBRP. Any info, feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I also like the Thermal R & D but read about some fitment problems. Thanks.

Do a bit more searching. The MBRP does have a bit of resonance between 2k to 2500, but only under load. There are two ways to effectively eliminate it. I love my MBRP and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Like I said, do a bit more searching and you’ll find a lot of info from many owners on the MBRP exhaust.

I have Borla and I really like it. However, I don't think ti would be the one for you as it is quite loud. The fitment on Borla is amazing. If you really hate any amount of drone then you will want to get tips that will extend out past the diffuser to reduce sound bouncing around back there. And to the extreme you can add some sound deadening material around the spare wheel area. Or just do what I do and TURN UP THE MUSIC LOUDER.

I'm really liking my Borla but I might upgrade to a Tubi Style exhaust sometime in the future.

Thanks for the info CK. I guess that's what I'll have to do and calm my anxiousness of upgrading rather getting something I'm not happy with.

Thanks "Fish" Ive already insulated the spare tire area. My search continues. Thanks again.

Welcome, Jet! I like the stock exhaust, since I want a quiet cabin, so I am no help to you.

I installed the MBRP last weekend, no tips yet. The set I have requires more trimming than I want to do.

I just did a 6 hour drive with a buddy this morning, even without tips drone, to our ears, is almost non existent. Average speed was 120KM/h, no issues from the exhaust at all. You can definitely hear it when on the throttle though, it's pretty nice. Cabin sound is louder in the city at lower speeds, but it's not obnoxious at all. Tips will move a lot of that sound out of the cabin.

All my research was YouTube clips, so make of that what you will, but I'm 100% satisfied with it.

I like my evc Kunstwerk with downpipes. Without downpipes with valve closed a little louder than stock (I think rated 1db more than stock) with valve open definitely louder with drone. As I said I have downpipe because I wanted better flow, louder and deeper and accomplished all. Just took 10 jr drive with valve closed and didnt notice but louder than stock. I would like an even louder and deeper exhaust but not all the time and that's why I went with a EVC. Hope this helps

I have the MBRP exhaust and not going to lie the first few months the drone was hard to deal with. My wife complained about it and would ask me if it drove me crazy haha. It was really bad around 70-80 mph. HOWEVER, yesterday I had some carbon fiber tips put on and now I can hardly hear the exhaust except for when I get on it. I just got back from a 6hr freeway drive cruising around 80-90 mph and it was lovely. I really really like this exhaust now

That’s crazy. Do you have a catless downpipe? I cruise at 70-75 all the time and mine is quiet as a mouse. It’s only at 80 do I start to hear a burble.

Thanks Coconut. I was looking at the same pipes (Kunswerk W/EVC. I'm guessing without upgraded Downpipes they would be a tad quieter. So you have no cats?
Thanks again Coconut.

I Have OE primary downpipes. I have Kunstwerk secondary downpipes or midpipes with no cats. I purchased the exhaust and installed for about a month with all cats. They had a issue with the valves and changed to a new type replaced mine for free and have been great ever since. You can also program the valve to 2 of the homelink buttons one to ooen and one to close valves. The only negative is they are pricey , but customer service via email on website is outstanding.
