So I feel like this point raised in another thread warrants its own discussion, given that we now have two reputable tuners (Lap3 and SXTH) come out and say the JB4's EWG connectors cause issues with their tune, with SXTH even taking the position that they will no longer tune a car if it has had these EWG cables installed.

Although the EWG cables were initially introduced as a way to better control boost levels, especially when you installed hfc or catless downpipes, it's now been recently identified that it's at the cost of changing your ECU's Wastegate Adaption values permanently (see Nathan's recent posts in the EK1 tune thread).

At least for me, this finding is completely contrary to one of the JB4's main selling points of being a piggyback solution that would be undetectable once it's been removed. Not to mention that this also raises concerns on a car functioning properly after removing them without needing dealer intervention to reset the ECU, and also limits tuning options that a Stinger owner can explore. However, I just want to see what others' opinion of these cables are, and whether these findings impact their perception of these cables in a similar way.

TL;DR: JB4 EWG cables apparently change your ECU permanently, causing tuners to refuse to offer tunes for cars who had them because of issues. Discuss how this impacts your perception of these cables.
