Well, it can, but it was hard to be alliterative.

My cover does not close completely without a bit of encouragement.

This is how it closes with the built-in closer.

Any suggestions on how to get it to behave?

You're the second I have come across complaining about this. Mine won't close that last c. 1/8th inch, depending on temperature: warmer it closes, colder it doesn't. A teensy tap on the finger flange and it closes.

Yeah, it will close with some pressure. Just figured there is a fix for this. I might give it a whack later and see if I can get it working correctly.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I see a lot of crumbs on your shifter boot. Maybe remove that portion of the console and give it a good cleaning.

And then part it out. ;)

I had exactly the same problem. Got a dealer replaced the whole section under the warranty.

I have some theories on why this happened. For the most part, I rarely close the cover. Now that I've been closing it more often and keeping it closed, the gap had narrowed a bit.

So I have a feeling that just using it regularly, opening and then keeping it closed, will get it to function normally. We'll see if that is the case.
