Considering adding the JA AirScoops to my car

Hello,

I have K&N drop filters in my stock airboxes and I'm considering adding the JA AirScoops to my car. I have some questions for anyone who's running the JA AirScoops or Velossa Tech BIG MOUTH air ducts.

• I know about the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act but how has your dealer service experience been with the air ducts?
• If you choose to remove the radiator shroud, did the oil temps get negatively impacted?
• I've seen around that water getting in the air ducts is a non-issue (I live in SC where it rains heavily often) but what about dust and other road debris? I imagine this would make the air filters get dirty fast.

This car is my daily driver and the 1st car (dream car) I purchased so any input would be greatly appreciated.

I have JA Scoops. Installed about 2 months ago. I also have AEM drop in filters.
1. I wouldn’t know yet with the dealer services yet. I usually do my own maintenance but I wouldn’t think a dealer would say anything let alone see them. I can barely see mine behind my grill.
2. I removed shroud and haven’t noticed any temps impacted negatively
3. Correct with water. I’ve driven through some very heavy storms and didn’t get any water past the scoops. However I checked my air filters today and I did see more debris build up on the filters than before without the scoops. Probably will have to clean them more often.

Sounds good thanks for the reply, have you noticed a throttle response difference?

I have the ATQ Subframe Chassis Collar Kit and Rokblokz splash guards coming in the mail this week, I'll buy some JA Scoops and get everything installed at once.

New intake scoops do a good job opening up the top end. Throttle response did improve slightly IMO but the biggest change was how much harder the car pulls at high RPMs. In stock form the car can't really breathe up top.

Makes sense with the ram air effect.
