Had the JB4 in for about a week now. Never had connection issues and could connect to Bluetooth easily from the drivers seat. Today I connected just fine and then randomly couldn’t connect anymore. I’ve tried moving closer to the bluetooth puck. Just getting “awaiting handshake” and then unable to connect.

Make sure the BT adapter is not touching any metal wherever it is placed under the hood. Usually, when it disconnects like this, it takes a restart of the vehicle to reconnect. Also, things like "airpods" will interrupt the signal as well.

if the unit was purchased used, may want to contact guys at BMS and see if the chip needs to be replaced.

I did restart the car and came back out and it connected right away. It must have had some interference where I was. Thanks for the reply.

no problem.....had those issues before.....if i disconnected while car running and immediately tried to re-connect, would have to wait until i cut the car off before it would let me re-connect. May be a feature that protects the circuits inside the unit.
