Comfort vs Eco AWD

I am sorry if this has been discussed before. I couldn’t find it anywhere.

When I go into custom mode I can choose “Sport, Comfort, or Eco” for AWD. I know the Sport setting has been discussed where I believe it sends 80% of torque to rear wheels.
As for Comfort....I always assumed it was probably a 50-50 split. What would Eco be? My guess is not 50-50 for efficiency. If it was more to the rear then it would be essentially the same as Sport unless is it 60 or 70%.
I would assume it would be the same for the standard “Comfort” and “Eco” settings...they probably have specific AWD tuning for each.

I've been convinced that Eco and Comfort have the same suspension setting. The only difference between them is fuel economy, which is supposed to be prioritized in Eco. It's all done through shifting logic differences. Eco upshifts a lot quicker than Comfort, which upshifts as the "default" programming or "zero" point. Sport of course upshifts quite a bit later than Comfort.
 
It isn’t suspension tuning I was wondering about it was AWD. I thought all it adjusted was throttle and shift points since that is all it does in FWD (or RWD cars). It makes no sense to have a separate Eco and Comfort choice for AWD when creating a custom setting.

Still no definitive answer....probably Eco is identical to some other AWD mode...sport is 20/80 F/R and comfort is 40/60 F/R...not sure but probably comfort

Interestingly enough, I've been searching non-stop since my previous post and I may have figured it out.

ECO AWD is apparently the same as Sport AWD, 20/80, except it doesn't do that drift kick-in if you drive aggressively. It will have to be tested... though that's kind of hard to test, lol.
 
That would make sense...only 20% front for fuel economy...where did you find that info?

The power split isn't the biggest factor for eco, the engine timing is the main means of gaining more efficiency by reducing engine power. Less fuel needed to generate less power. The reason for the power distribution being more rear focused is because of the drivetrain's design favoring the rear (bias), having front wheels engaged only adds drag to the system when it's not needed for cornering or traction in poor road conditions. If they had a 0% front setting they would likely go with that for max efficiency, but I don't think they can send 100% power to the front or rear.
 
I know the throttle mapping and shift points make a bigger difference...which makes an “eco” AWD setting even more odd

I know that in ECO is reduces engine power. But I would expect the AWD system to shift to mostly front wheel drive (or even completely disconnect the rear wheel drive). I know that the Stinger is not a Haldex system so I doubt the rear wheels are disconnected.

In Haldex AWD systems, the car is essentially FWD and only kicks in the rear wheels when more traction is needed through an electronically controlled clutch and plate system for the rear.
 
My “guess” is if it is a real eco setting...then 20/80 F/R. If it isn’t, a copy of comfort 40/60. I don’t know of any RWD based car that sends all or most of its power to the front wheels.
 
Eco doesn’t reduce power. It’s just a throttle sensitivity thing to make it feel like less power
I know that in ECO is reduces engine power.
 
That explains drive modes. My original question was within the “Custom” drive mode you can adjust steering, suspension, engine...and AWD. Specifically how is Custom (Eco-AWD) different from Custom (Comfort-AWD) and Custom (Sport-AWD)....maybe a mystery never to be answered)
