First off...I traded in my 18 Audi a4. I wasn't really looking but saw a Stinger and kinda fell in love with it. Got a good deal on my 22 with only 8700 miles. It is nearly flawless. No noticeable chips or scrapes. BUT...the chrome is somewhat cloudy so I was wondering what would be a safe way to restore it to it's full luster. Thanks in advance!
The trim down both sides has started to look like crap....there was slight discoloration in a couple spots when I purchased it about 6 weeks ago.....I pay for 6 months at a time for unlimited car washes at a car wash company that has multiple locations that does touch the car, after every car...
when I got my car back from the body shop the driver's door trim was like that, odd how this issue strikes here or there. this time I used elbow grease and meg's polishing compound and got it off.
FYI, I just washed my car, the photo here shows the driver side rear chrome. The part on the left is above the rear door which I polished with flitz 8 months ago. The part in the right above the rear quarter panel I didn’t get to at that time. You can see what a difference it made.
After I took the picture, I polished that part so it all looks the same.
